Barry Lewis is one of North America's pre-eminent experts in the information security field. He began his career in MIS in 1969, working for a major financial institution. In 1980 he moved into the security field, designing, developing and implementing security measures for that financial institution and he has remained in this field ever since.
From 1980 to 1987 he played a major role in designing, developing and implementing security measures which remain leading edge to this day. During this time he developed and implemented security Policy and Standards; implemented logical access controls; provided controls over network access and developed and presented security training seminars.
In 1987 he began working as a consultant, spending the next five years with two of the top audit firms in North America. During this time he managed a large number of technical security audits, implementations and reviews with organizations in government, financial, manufacturing and service industries. In 1992 he entered private consulting and joined Cerberus in 1993. Since then, he has provided clients all over the world with consulting expertise and security seminars and has written three books.

Mr. Lewis provides training courses and seminars around the world. He has presented papers and conducted workshops at a number of North American security conferences including, Computer Security Institute (CSI) Security Conferences, Computer Associates Enterprise-Wide Security & Audit Conferences (ESAC) and the ISACA. He is a regular seminar leader at sessions held across the world. His sessions include, Audit and Control of Windows

numerous others.
Mr. Lewis is also a contributing author to a number of best selling security books.
